See Video Chip Rework

LCD Screen Replacement
We can replace any cracked or otherwise non-functional LCD panel.

Display Problems

Horizontal or vertical Lines on display:

-Caused by bad connections on LCD flex connector, bad component on motherboard, or bad LCD cable.

Dark or dim display: data appears on screen but can barely be seen (flashlight held at an angle will make data more visible).

-Caused by bad backlight inverter or bad backlight lamp.

Intermittent Shut Down or Lock Up
-Typically caused by overheating from a blocked up fan vent, and/or insufficient thermal transfer between CPU and heat sink.

Power Jack/DC Jack Repair

We always replace the power jack and add reinforcement instead of just repairing the bad connection on the existing jack.

With this repair we include preventive maintenance for overheating by cleaning the fan & vent and replacing the old CPU thermal compound with high-grade Arctic Silver.

We warranty our power jack repairs for one year.

Motherboard Repair & Replacement

We are proficient in component level repair on motherboards for laptops and desktops and can usually repair a problem on one instead of having to replace it.

If a motherboard ends up not being repairable, we have an extensive vendor list and can have a replacement in 1 day if necessary.

Video Chip Rework

Mostly applicable to HP laptops powering up without video--excessive heat has caused solder joints on the video chip to degrade.  We repair the degraded solder joints and replace the manufacturer-installed thermal transfer pad with a copper shim for improved heat transfer.
